Managed IT services
Managed IT Services for Metro Detroit Businesses
Our team runs your IT for one flat monthly rate per device: 24/7 monitoring, unlimited remote helpdesk, security on every machine, and a real person who responds within 2 business hours. Built for companies with 5 to 75 employees across Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, St. Clair, Sanilac, and Lapeer counties.
What managed IT means here
Managed IT means our team takes ownership of your technology instead of waiting for something to break. We watch your systems around the clock, fix problems before they stop work, keep everything patched and documented, and answer the phone when someone needs help.
You pay one predictable amount each month based on how many devices we manage. There are no per-ticket charges, no hourly meters running on remote support, and no surprise line items on the invoice.
Included in every plan
24/7 monitoring and patching
Every workstation and server is watched around the clock. Operating system and third-party updates are tested and applied on a schedule, so nothing waits for someone to remember.
Unlimited remote helpdesk
Call or email as often as you need during business hours, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday. No per-ticket charges and no counting minutes. You reach a real person who already knows your setup.
Endpoint protection
Managed endpoint detection and response on every device, with ransomware rollback that can restore files an attack has encrypted.
Microsoft 365 and SaaS management
Users, licenses, mailboxes, and permissions handled for you, including setting up new hires and shutting off access when someone leaves.
Asset and inventory tracking
A current list of every device, warranty, and license, so budgeting and replacements are planned instead of urgent.
Documentation that stays with you
Passwords in a secure vault and your setup written down in a runbook. Nothing lives in one person’s head, including ours.
Who managed IT is for
Most of our clients have between 5 and 75 employees and no full-time IT department. They usually call us for one of these reasons.
No dedicated IT person
The office manager or owner has been handling IT on top of their real job.
Your “computer guy” moved on
One person held all the passwords and the history. We take over cleanly and document everything.
Insurance or compliance pressure
Your cyber insurance renewal or a client audit is asking questions you can’t answer yet.
You have IT staff who need backup
Co-managed support adds tools, coverage, and a second set of hands to your in-house team.
How support works
Call or email
Reach our team at 810-377-8189 or info@bluesteeltechnologies.com. No phone tree and no offshore call center.
Response within 2 business hours
A real person who knows your environment picks it up. Outages and anything stopping work get handled first.
Fixed remotely, or onsite when needed
Most issues are solved remotely. When hands are needed, we come to you anywhere in our six-county area.
Documented and reviewed
Every fix is recorded, and recurring problems get a permanent solution instead of the same ticket every month.
Three plans, one flat rate per device
Every plan includes the essentials above. Higher tiers add network monitoring, email security, backups, and compliance reporting.
Essentials
$50 per device / month
Monitoring, patching, unlimited remote support, and endpoint protection.
Secure
$75 per device / month
Adds network monitoring, email security, web filtering, and tested cloud backups.
Complete
$145 per device / month
Adds full cybersecurity, server backup, compliance reporting, and 8 onsite hours a month.
Onboarding
How we take over your IT
Switching IT providers feels risky, so we removed the guesswork. Every new client is onboarded with a five-part briefing format the Marine Corps uses to plan operations, because “we’ll figure it out as we go” is how the last provider lost your trust.
- Paragraph 1 of 5
Situation
We audit what you actually have: every device, license, credential, vendor, and risk. You get the honest picture, in writing, before anything changes.
- Paragraph 2 of 5
Mission
We agree on exactly what done looks like, what gets fixed, secured, and standardized in your first 30 days, and what success means for your business.
- Paragraph 3 of 5
Execution
Security baseline, monitoring agents, backup verification, and quick wins deploy in a set sequence. Your team keeps working; we work around them.
- Paragraph 4 of 5
Admin & Logistics
Passwords into a vault, documentation into your runbook, billing and support channels set up. Nothing lives in anyone’s head, including ours.
- Paragraph 5 of 5
Command & Signal
You know exactly who to call, how to reach us after hours, and what response times to expect. Complete plan clients also get a formal quarterly business review.

Managed IT questions
How much do managed IT services cost?
Our plans are billed per managed device each month: Essentials is $50, Secure is $75, and Complete is $145, with a 5-device minimum. Servers count as two devices. A one-time onboarding fee is quoted based on the size of your environment. A 10-device office on the Secure plan runs $750 a month.
Is there a contract?
Managed IT plans use a 12-month agreement, with discounts available on multi-year terms. The agreement spells out exactly what is included, so there are no surprise charges during the year.
How fast do you respond?
During business hours (8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday), you’ll hear back from our team within 2 hours of reaching out. That first response confirms we have it and tells you the next step; how long the fix takes depends on the issue. Urgent issues like a server or internet outage go to the front of the line. Monitoring runs 24/7, and after-hours emergency support is available at 1.5 times our standard rate.
Is onsite support included?
Remote support is unlimited on every plan. The Complete plan includes 8 hours of onsite support each month. On the Essentials and Secure plans, onsite visits are billed at $100 per hour.
We already have an IT person. Can you still help?
Yes. Co-managed IT gives your in-house staff our monitoring, security tools, documentation, and backup coverage for vacations and busy periods, without replacing anyone.
What happens when we switch from our current provider?
We onboard every client with the Blue Steel Deployment Order: we audit what you have, agree on what done looks like for the first 30 days, then roll out monitoring, security, and documentation in a set sequence while your team keeps working. We handle the handoff from your previous provider.
