Privacy Policy

Effective November 5, 2026

Blue Steel Technologies (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides managed IT and cybersecurity services to businesses in Southeast Michigan. This policy explains what information we collect through bluesteeltechnologies.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

Contact form. When you request a quote or send us a message, we collect your first and last name, work email, phone number, company, city, the type of help you need, and your message.

Free Cyber Score scanner. When you run a scan, we collect the domain you enter. If you ask for the full report, we also collect your email address and save your domain’s score with it, so we can send you the report.

Free Vibe Check scanner. When you run a Vibe Check, we collect the domain you enter and your confirmation that you’re authorized to scan it. If you ask for the full report, we also collect your email address and save the domain’s score, and the site builder we detected, with it.

When you submit either form, we also record the page you submitted it from.

Information collected automatically

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our site, so we can improve it. Clarity records how you interact with our pages, such as clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement, and builds heatmaps and session replays from that activity. It also collects general device and browser information. Clarity is set to hide what you type into form fields. Microsoft provides Clarity, and its privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com explains how Microsoft handles this data.

We also use HubSpot’s tracking code to understand how visitors find us and which pages they view. If you later fill out our contact form or request a Cyber Score report, HubSpot connects your earlier page views on our site to that submission, so we know which topics brought you to us and can follow up on what matters to you. HubSpot’s privacy policy at legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy explains how HubSpot handles this data.

Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the time of each request. We use these logs to keep the site secure and working.

The Cyber Score and Vibe Check scanners run on Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver the scan. We limit repeated scans to prevent abuse.

Cookies

Microsoft Clarity uses cookies to recognize repeat visits and connect the pages viewed in one visit. HubSpot uses cookies, such as hubspotutk, to recognize returning visitors and connect page views to a form submission. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work normally. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share your information for advertising. Our site loads a small script from Google that displays a button for adding us as a preferred source in Google News. Google’s own privacy policy covers that script.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your message and prepare quotes
  • To deliver your Cyber Score or Vibe Check report
  • To follow up about our services. You can opt out of follow-up email at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
  • To understand how visitors use our site and improve it
  • To keep our website secure and prevent abuse of the scanner

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run our business, and they handle your information only to provide their service to us:

  • HubSpot, which stores contact form and scanner submissions and provides website analytics
  • Cloudflare, which runs the Cyber Score and Vibe Check scanners
  • Vercel, which hosts this website
  • Microsoft, which provides Clarity analytics
  • Google Workspace, which handles our email

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

The domains you scan

Our scanners only check information that any visitor on the internet can already see about a domain. They do not log in to anything or access private systems, and they never store or use any key or password a scan comes across. Please only scan domains you own or are authorized to check. Our scanning policy has the full details.

How long we keep it

We keep contact and scanner submissions for as long as we have a business relationship with you or until you ask us to delete them. Server logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted automatically.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Email info@bluesteeltechnologies.com or call 810-377-8189 and our team will take care of it.

Security

We protect your information with the same practices we use for our clients, including multi-factor authentication and restricted access to the systems that store it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Children

Our website is meant for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
