Co-managed IT
Backup for Your IT Person, Not a Replacement
If you already have someone handling IT, in-house or part-time, our team works alongside them. We add the tools, coverage, and security expertise that one person can’t provide alone.
When co-managed IT makes sense
You have one IT person
They’re good, but they can’t be everywhere, can’t take a vacation, and shouldn’t be the only one who knows how everything works.
IT falls to an office manager
Someone handles passwords and printers on top of their real job. We take the technical work so they can get back to it.
A big project is coming
A server replacement, an office move, or a Microsoft 365 migration that your team doesn’t have the hours or experience for.
Security needs a second set of eyes
Your team keeps things running, but nobody is watching for threats full time or keeping up with what insurers now require.
What we add
Monitoring and patching tools
Our remote monitoring, patching, and endpoint protection on your devices, with your IT person given access to the same dashboard.
Backup coverage
Someone who knows your systems when your IT person is out sick, on vacation, or moves on.
Escalation help
A second opinion and hands-on help on problems that are stuck, from a team with enterprise IT experience.
Project capacity
Planning and hands-on work for migrations, network upgrades, and new office setups.
Security and compliance
Endpoint protection, email security, and the documentation cyber insurance questionnaires ask for.
Documentation
Passwords, network diagrams, and how-to notes written down, so knowledge isn’t stuck in one person’s head.
Co-managed IT questions
Are you trying to replace our IT person?
No. Co-managed IT is built around the person you have. They keep the day-to-day relationship with your team, and we fill in the tools, coverage, and expertise around them.
Who does what?
We agree on that in writing before we start: which tasks your team owns, which we own, and how issues get handed between us. That list gets reviewed as things change.
How is it priced?
Usually per device per month for the tools and monitoring, plus agreed project or hourly work. We quote it after we learn what your team already covers.
