AI risk and readiness
Use AI Without Handing Away Your Data
Your team is probably already using AI tools to write emails, summarize documents, and build spreadsheets. Our team finds out what’s in use, what data is at risk, and puts a clear policy and the right settings in place so you keep the benefits without the leaks.
The risk isn’t the tool, it’s what goes into it
Free AI tools often keep what you type and may use it to improve their models. When an employee pastes in a customer list, a contract, or a payroll file, that data has left your control. Nobody meant any harm, and nobody told them not to.
An assessment replaces guesswork with a short list of approved tools, a policy your team understands, and settings that enforce it.
What the assessment covers
What your team already uses
We find the AI tools in use today, from staff conversations and from the sign-ins and app approvals in your Microsoft 365 or Google account.
What data is at risk
We sort your information into what’s fine to use with AI, what needs an approved tool, and what should never leave your systems.
An approved tools list
Which AI tools your team can use, on which accounts, and with which settings, so company data isn’t used to train someone else’s model.
A written AI usage policy
A short, plain-English policy your team will actually read, covering what’s allowed, what isn’t, and who to ask.
Controls that back it up
Where your systems allow it, we block unapproved AI apps, tighten app approval settings, and turn on the data protections you already pay for.
Training for your team
A short session on using AI safely and spotting AI-written phishing, with a record of who attended.
How it works
Discovery
A short conversation with you and a few team members about how work gets done and where AI already shows up.
Review
We check sign-ins, app approvals, and data sharing settings in your Microsoft 365 or Google account.
Policy and tools
We draft the approved tools list and AI usage policy with you, then make the settings changes.
Training
Your team gets a short session on the new rules and on spotting AI-written phishing.

AI readiness questions
We don’t officially use AI. Do we still need this?
Probably. Most teams are already using free AI tools on their own, often by pasting in customer emails, spreadsheets, or contracts. The assessment shows you what’s actually happening so you can decide what to allow.
Will you tell us to stop using AI?
No. The goal is to let your team keep the time savings while keeping customer and business data out of tools that shouldn’t have it. Most businesses end up with one or two approved tools set up the right way.
What do we get at the end?
A short report on what we found, an approved tools list, a written AI usage policy, the settings changes we made, and a training record for your team.
Does this cover apps someone built for us with AI?
That’s a separate review. If your business runs a website, portal, or internal tool built with an AI app builder, see our AI-built app and website security page.
