AI-built app security questions
What counts as an AI-built site or app?
Anything where an AI tool wrote most of the code: a website from Lovable, Bolt, Replit, v0, or Wix’s AI builder, an internal tool built with Cursor or Claude, or a customer portal a contractor put together with AI help. If nobody on your team can explain how it protects its data, it’s worth checking.
Isn’t the AI builder responsible for security?
The platform secures its own servers. What you build on it, including who can read your database and where your keys live, is your responsibility. Most of the problems we find are settings the AI never turned on, not flaws in the platform.
What does the free Vibe Check look at?
Only what any visitor on the internet can already see: the pages and files your site sends to a browser, common config file locations, public storage, and signs of which builder made it. It doesn’t log in, try passwords, or change anything. If it spots a key, it reports where it was found and never uses it.
What happens in a full review?
Our team looks at the app itself with your permission: database access rules, how logins and user roles actually work, where secrets are stored, which add-ons are installed, and how you’d recover if something broke. You get a plain-English list of what to fix, in order, and we can fix it with you or hand it back to whoever built it.
Do I have to be a managed IT client?
